The earliest information we have about the house dates from the 18th century. It belonged to the Tamáši and Kubica families, until the end of the 18th century. Mgr. Petr Štanský, an expert on Žilina’s buildings believes there was a change of ownership at the beginning of the 19th century, when the owner of the house became Jozef Folkmonn. In 1840, the building was owned by the wife of Adam Bittšanský, who also owned the next-door house, no. 25. A squire, Ján Moiš, became the next owner of the house. He bought it for 2404 gold coins, and his heirs sold it in 1872 making a profit of almost 600 gold coins. The last owner was Armín Schlanger, who bought the entire property between 1918 and 1920 for a total of 78,000 Czecho-Slovak crowns. His children owned the building until 1953, when it was confiscated by the state. There was a shop on the ground floor. The house was built on the original cellars as an atrium style two-storey building, with a Renaissance basement, and the ground floor also has Renaissance features. The first floor was Classical style. The property was restored in 1998.
