"Lombardini´s" House: ''Lombardini´s'' house was opened in 2010. Exhibition called "Alexander Lombardini´s life and work – History of the House" is the first private museum exhibition throughout the modern town´s history. The exhibition´s ambition is to follow the Municipal museum, abolished in 1948 in the rooms of today´s Old Town Hall. On the ground floor, there is situated first part of the exhibition, available during opening hours. It consists of panels giving information about Alexander Lombardini´s life and work. The second part is situated on the basement, showing the history of the house, Alexander Lombardini lived in, permanently from 1852 – 1862 and temporarily from 1862 – 1873. This part of the exhibition is available according to the phone call agreement. Access without barriers is possible on the ground floor of the "Lombardini´s house"
Inside "Lombardini´s" house, there is situated a confectioner´s Lombardini, offering sweet delicacies as well as favourite Žilina´s slices.

Who was Alexander Lombardini? Alexander Lombardini (1851 – 1897) was a famous Žilina´s revivalist, historian, lawyer and archivist. In 1874 his ''Brief history of the Free town of Žilina'' was edited. A seventy-five page book has been quoted up till now, as it comes out from original municipal documents. A. Lombardini wrote it in Slovak and therefore created the first Slovak history of the town. That is why Lombardini is considered to be the first promoter of the town of Žilina.
