Eng. Zigo Vavrin Wertheimer – Last Place of Rest

Ing. Žigo Wertheimer (8. 8. 1896 – 26. 6. 1956) pôsobil v Žiline ako samostatný architekt. V Žiline zostali po ňom zaujímavé objekty prevažne obytných a nájomných domov. Najvýznamnejšia stavba známa medzi Žilinčanmi je kaviareň Astoria z roku 1928. Pochovaný je na Židovskom cintoríne v Žiline.

Eng. Zigo Wertheimer (8. 8. 1996 – 26. 6. 1956) was an independent Architect in Zilina. His interesting work can still be seen throughout Zilina today, mainly in the form of residential buildings. His most famous work-very well known by the residents of Zilina-is the Astoria Café built in 1928. He is buried in the Jewish cemetery in Zilina.
